Won't leave you at peace... I replaced the flash-unit with a new one from Wadhams, and all seemed fine. On the first drive however, on clipping the flash-rod, a slight shock is felt through the car, the rev-counter stops and the flasher stops flashing. Any ideas? Thanks again...

They are both fed from the ignition switch position 2 the indicators are fused 3 and 4 fuse but the rev counter is straight from the switch along with the starter motor 6RA and the ignition so I cant see the "connection" between the two faults as you were still running and can start the engine
