I have been checking the number of *'Guests' we get on this forum (see bottom of main page) and once again we have hit to 100 mark.
So to all those 'Guests' come on in, we don't bite ;D
* Guest can view comments but cannot post, unless of course they decide to register - it is FREE

I think those guests are everybody that connect to the forum but does not log in. Like me the most of times. Only log in to see pictures or reply. So probably most of those guests are members. Am I correct?

It's that invisible user that still troubles me. He was there again last night. Check the stats. Who is he? Where does he come from? Can he still see me after I turn off my computer?

Has anyone ever clicked on the "View Site Stats" button below the hit counter at the bottom of every page? Quite interesting.

Well over a 150 'Guests' have visited the site - as of Friday 14th January. Perhaps the email to everyone about the February issue of Take Five worked though I do need to refine it for the April issue re: links (thanks EricR fo pointing this out)

This brings a question to mind. When I first go the the forum website but before I login, am I counted as a 'Guest'? If so, shouldn't we be subtracting the number of people who actually log in from the number of "Guests' to get a true number? Or, once you login does that subtract 1 'Guest' from the total of 'Guests'? Or, could the large number of 'Guests' be coming to the site because they've heard of the Take Five magazine but think it is really the Dave Brubeck Quartet song, Take 5 (maybe it should be the unofficial song of the magazine?). Lots of thoughts, not much meaning in any of them!

Ther are a lot of 'if's' and 'maybe's' David. Whoever the viewer, be they members or not, the figure jumped for no apparent reason. PS. If you select 'Forever' next time you log in you will automatically enter the forum on future visits without having to type in your password

The flaw in that Admin is that a burglar could post something nasty about Glenn while I wasn't home, and I'd get the blame.

I never did get an answer to that one. I suspect it's Admin creeping around in the background.
I think David Maxwell could be right. It makes sense. Well for some of the Guest numbers.

Another thought occurs to me that perhaps the large number of guests could be banger racers looking for tips to keep their cars running?
