By way of introducing myself in the foreigner section; My name is Bart and I live in the Netherlands. I'm the proud owner of one and a half P5B Coupe, both maroon with a silver-birch roof and RHD. One P5B is in good driving condition and the 'half' car is on it's way to be dismantled for spare parts.
Upcoming projects are to pass the Dutch MOT (APK) in August and to swap the deteriorated cognac interior for the black from the spare parts car.
Regards, Bart.

Welkom Bart!!
Meanwhile I live in Germany. You sound well organised with one and a half cars! When did the car have its last MOT? Do you have a lot of work to be done?

Thanks Peter,
Last MOT was in August 2008. I had it checked recently on upcoming work and it turned out not to be too bad. No major work is required, some rust work to be done on the left-side sill.
The 'half' was my first P5B, never got it into proper driving condition. The more I took apart to clean and repair the more i discovered on major work to be done to such an extent I had to give up on it. Now I'm using that one as a good P5B learning school, being able to dismantle one piece by piece is a good way to discover what to touch and what not.
Did you take your rover with you to Germany?
Groet, Bart.

Bart,
Would you mind changing the title of this thread? If you make it Bart's Dutch P5B or Bart's P5B (Netherlands), or something like that, others will immediately see where you are when reading through the section.
If you go to your first post at the top of this column, then click on the "Modify" button, you can edit the text.
Cheers, Warwick.

Hi Bart,
APK (MOT) shouldn't be too difficult then hopefully. You must have some space to store them both! No I sold mine via Berry since i had no room in Germany and could see no local servicing support. This is an excellent forum with guys with a lot of experience should you need help with anything. Also you can help others with their subjects sometimes. How about uploading some photos? Its also worth joining the club.
Best of luck,
Peter
