Err...I thought it was drive it day,not park it in a field and eat sandwiches The whole idea of drive it day is to get your classics out and about on the road to raise awareness of our hobby to the public.

It is, but you have to stop sometime and maybe on a village green is not a bad idea FROM THEIR WEBSITE: CLASSIC & HISTORIC MOTOR CLUB F.B.H.V.C. DRIVE IT DAY Sunday April 25th 2010. Once again this year this event will take the form of a “Scatter Rally” followed by a gathering on Priddy Green. The format is however slightly different from previous year’s events. As before, the location of the points to visit will be published in next month’s Classix enabling you to plan your route before you start. Entrants will also have to go to a start control between 9.30 and 10.30 am, you will have a choice of going either to The Brittannia Inn in Wells or Chew Valley Lake you will then have up to 5 hours to complete your route. At the start you will be given a sheet of photographs each of which will relate to a location point. During the Rally entrants will pair up the photographs with the locations to get points. Just visit as few or as many locations as you want to. This is NOT a treasure hunt, all the locations are easy to locate and all the photographs easy to identify from your car. Remember that the purpose of Drive it Day is for you and your car to be seen on the road. Please take time to talk to interested passers by and if you have any friends with suitable vehicles please encourage them to join us on the Green. Also, if you are not a club member but would just like to come along and see what we are like, then please come to Priddy Green near Wells from around 2pm - and if you can come in a "proper car", then would be great!www.fbhvc.co.uk/drive-it-day/
