I think that is the camshaft they supplied me. It does have a nice OMPH factor to it. Are you getting larger valves?

Yes it will be Kev and yes it is going to cost. We may all have a view of how much we can spend, and the original part restoration was the best I could afford at the time. Initially, I did not expect this much work, well to be honest, I hoped it would not be this much. But when we found out the problems, the car was all stripped down. What do I do? put the car back together again as it was? A silly and dangerous idea. Scrap it? I would definatley be out of pocket then or do I get the repair done properly? The idea is to get the car done, keep it, put it in the will for the kids to sell on my demise and get some money back for them If I were to be realistic, I would say I am not surprised that the car had these problems. The doors would not shut properly, the bonnet gaps were too large, why? the integrity of the bulkhead was being compromised. Luckily I am in a postion to afford the work (just btw) but I appreciate that many may not wish to spend their hard earned cash on a classic car rstoration. Whether it is a minor/major restoration. Glenn, if you went out and spent similar money on a new car it would depreciate faster than it would accelerate! Looking at current prices at least your Rover will be an investment- now there's not much around you could say about Looking forward to seing it and don't forget it would make an interesting article for the clubs editor ;D

Glenn, is this the car that used to appear in your avatar with the film of you reversing out of your drive etc? Sorry, I'm not up to speed on this!
It looked very smart but I didn't realise that it had already been partly restored.
Good luck and I think it will be money well spent in the end. There seems to be a general concensus that P5b prices are rising at the moment.

As Admin says, it is an investment, I would think the car would be worth a lot more in 30 years and I hope I am still here to enjoy it. Kev,it will be done on earth as it is in heaven ;D

But we do make the finest luxury cars,or we did. We also had some of the greatest footballers. Moore, Charlton, Hurst, etc This bunch would not have been allowed to clean their boots on their performance. Anyway, life goes on, and there are far more important things to get on with I hope everyone is enjoying the weather and are attending rallies ;D

I have e mailed them but I will need to get the engine number so that they can cross reference. I have a feeling that they were not enlarged.

Just browsed throught this post Glenn. It looks magnificent. Two questions: - What´s that square box behind the splash panel? - You've cut the Apost box that passes trough the panel and didnt put it back?
Where is the Part 2?
