I don't like the new navigation buttons, legibility is poor especially for those with eyesight problems like myself. Is this a self-inflicted "improvement" or imposed on us by Proboards?

Peter
It is a Proboards improvemnt.
To help clarity, by placing your mouse over the button you should get a simple clear message of what that button does. The same applies to all the icons.

Thanks, I had noticed that but it is a nuisance, a bit like fumbling for a light switch in the dark. I have the font size enlarged but it doesn't increase the size of the buttons. Looks as if I'll have to grin and bear it!

It sort of follows the general Windows and MS Office trend of using complicated little icons with lots of pastel shades and fuzzy edges to replace clear, simple uncomplicated buttons and icons.

I agree with the others I think it is a backward step not an improvement - Thanks stantondavies for the comment about enlarging font size I remembered I had a note under mouse mat on how to do it and at least it it now readable
