making most use of the brand name there.
Those of us who own the Classic mini love them for there cheeky character the BMW MINI is not bad but I think they are streching it a bit with this MINI X3 or whatever it is.
It will sell though probably to the same people who buy the BMW 4x4 coupe things. They must make cars for indecisive people. " I want a 4x4 or a sleek coupe", " I want a cool nippy mini but want room for the 3 kids and the prams" buy a MPV or two cars....

Sorry, but I can see the logic in this.
It opens up the possibilities for a whole range of Minis to suit all tastes and needs. Small delivery vans, furniture vans, tip trucks, buses, etc. Why should the design and marketing people be hamstrung by the name. That's just being shortsighted. Personally I can't wait for the range of full-size Mini earthmoving equipment.
