Hi Guys,
Managed to get a supply of bulbs to match the manual's data sheet, so i proceeded to change them. The main dash lights were easy enough, but the long thin instrument lights???
I was able to remove the bulb holders for the rear of the instrument lights. However, They are so deep, I could not figure how to get the bulbs out.
Can you tell me how please?
Cheers

Thanks John, is this a twist off or pull action. (are they treaded?)
Thanks/ BTW, do you have a bulb ref for these ones, number and performance please?
Cheers

Great, that worked a treat... Here is rev counter with bulb holder removed. It should come out with a wiggle as opposed to twisting or pulling I hope this is what you were looking for Attachments:

Thanks so much for that. I had done those two pieces. My query is the small lights behind the switches for the instruments, wiper, heater etc. They do easily detach from the rear of the dash, however, they are very long tubes compared to others. The bulb rests at the base and you cannot get your fingers in.
I hope I am being clear. Should of course taken photo's but I will the minute I get a chance.
Thanks so much again.
Cheers

If that doesn't work, a short length of clear plastic/vinyl tubing is often handy.

This worked a treat, thanks. Have changed with standard bulbs for now. Have LEDs on order. Hope that works out.

How did you end up doing it? Just removing the holder, or the tubing?

Spanner, Where did you order the LEDs from? I ordered the from a local motor factors. Lots of trial an error going on at present as LEDs do not always give the same effect. eg, if the external side lights are changed to (one direction/projection) LEDs the PIPs do not light up the same way as with the old bulbs. this type of thing. I am not out of the woods yet. But when I have them sorted I will post bulb refs and manufacturers. I am sure they will be cheaper in the UK.

One really useful tip that saves scraping your knuckles was to remove the trip counter reset knob under the dash.this meant that the dash slipped out nicely and you could see what you were doing. It certainly cut the time taken too. I will post pics when I get a chance. Busy at work for a pleasant change so I am grabbing it with both hands.
