National Rally - Sunday 4th September 2005
Just to remind you – as though you didn’t all know already - 2005 is the 20th Anniversary of the club and the National Rally will take place at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon, Warwickshire. If you have not yet decided to book – go on be adventurous, complete and return the form in this issue of ‘Take Five.’ In addition to those people who have already offered to assist on the day, anyone willing to give a little time please contact Barry Griffiths prior to the event, so he knows who you are and what you might be willing to do.
There is no entrance charge to the site but for those attending the rally there will be a charge of £5.00 to cover administration, awards etc.
The normal concessionary rate for members attending the rally who wish to visit the museum is £6.00 per adult and £4.00 per child. (Quote ‘Rover P5 Club’ when purchasing tickets inside the museum.)
SPECIAL OFFER – FURTHER REDUCTIONS - The club is also able to offer a number of tickets at £3.50 per adult to the drivers of pre-booked cars who register at the Control Tent. Maximum two purchased when booking-in on a first come first served basis.
Hotel Accommodation
A special deal has been arranged at ‘The Glebe Hotel’, Church Street, Barford, Warwickshire CV35 8BS Tel: ( 01926) 624218 Fax: (01926) 624625. (Located 1 mile from M40 J15 and only 8 miles from the Heritage Motor Centre) .
The hotel was built in the 1820s as a rectory to the Church of St Peter which stands adjacent to the hotel’s grounds. There are 39 bedrooms, and the Glebe Leisure Club. A block of rooms has been reserved for the club for a limited period, and those interested should book quickly for the Cotswolds are a popular tourist attraction.
The special rate which includes the anniversary dinner is:
Sat 3rd Sept ~ £60.00 per person per night sharing a double room, en suite,
with tea making facilities and satellite TV. To include bed, English breakfast and anniversary dinner.
Accommodation should be booked directly with the hotel quoting ‘Rover P5 Club’ and a deposit of £30.00 per person is required.

On Saturday evening, a 20th Anniversary dinner and dance will be held at ‘The Glebe’ in a private room with adjacent bar and a mixture of live and some disco music for both ballroom and more modern dancing. Music provided by the Louise Mayer Duo. (For those on the internet you can hear more at: http://www.louisemayer.co.uk). Dress for the evening is smart casual.
For guests staying at the hotel, the dinner and dance is inclusive in your special rate, however you still need to complete the Menu choices and return with your Rally Booking form.
For those who would like to attend the dinner but are not staying at the hotel, there will be a charge of £26.00 per person payable when you return your Menu choices with your Rally Booking form.
