Photo's of my 3 litre after its first long drive yesterday. Thanks to the forum members for providing suggestions that helped me solve my starting and braking issues. As background, this P5 was originally the company vehicle of Sir Nigel Mobbs who was the chairman of Slough Estates in 1965. He gave it to his secretary in 1968 as part of a retirement settlement and at that time it had done 36,000 miles. I purchased it in 1989 and since then have added another 24,000 miles. I am originally from North Wales but in 1995 I shipped the Rover to Indiana and followed by New York in 1999, Massachusetts in 2004 and currently Wisconsin since 2007.

Glen
Are you referring to the bright reflection from the chrome? If so believe it or not those are genuine reflections. It was a 86F day in Wisconsin on Saturday when I took these and the sunlight was very strong. If you are referring to the number plate obscuration, my son (who is much smarter than I am with computers) did that using Adobe Photoshop.
My next tasks with the P5 are to replace all of the door seals and boot seal (rubber on order from Scotts in Australia) and to replace the wiring loom in the headlining area which I am getting from Dave Green while I am visiting the UK.

Hi Pete
Good to hear from you. I left the UK in 1995 and the main restoration work had been completed sometime around 1992/3 if I remember correctly. I am fairly sure the I took it to GMEX after the main work was complete and so it would have been sometime in the early 90's. I have some photographs somewhere and so I will have to see if they give any further clues
Cheers
Geraint
