I moved the post as the Items are not P5/P5b and this may be the best section for them.
John.
Hello,
For sale is a set of seats from a P38 Range Rover, which have been modified / fabricated to fit into a Rover P5B
They are cream / beige on the outside, and dark green in the middle.
The two rear uprights have had a strip of metal welded across the back, with the four bolts spot welded to fit the four holes at the top / back of the petrol tank, which means that they slot through from the inside of the car, and the nuts are put on from inside the boot.
The rear bases have had angle iron guide pieces welded onto the under side that slot over the front rim of the rear seating area.
These rear seats do leave a small area of the internal rear "D" posts on display, however this can easily be rectified by covering said "D" post areas with cream / beige coloured vynil, which is included in the sale.
The front seats are lined up to bolt straight through the existing rear holes, however the two front mountings will require a small piece of angle iron welded in place.
They are comfortable... The stitching is totally intact... None of the seats have splits along any of the seems... Both front seats have adjustable arm rests... and replacing them / upgrading them is NOT going to cost you an arm and a leg, or indeed require specialist attention ;D
As of this very afternoon, they are surplus to my requirements, as i have purchased a Vanden Plas Rover 825 Limo... which contained a set of totally immaculate Heated, Electric, fully functioning "ROVER" leather seats that are all beige, with memory settings, lumber support, and 7-way tilting motors they're lovely
Old school, die hard, purist owners should have stopped reading this thread approximately 2 minutes and 18 seconds ago as the bulk of this thread is to them... sacrilege
To everyone else... if seeking out a set of "decent" original seats has left you feeling tired and downtrodden, and "modifications" is a word that does not send a shiver down your spine.......
£250.00 is my asking price, and they have recently been given a good cleaning!
Wanna know what Range Rover P38 seats look like inside a P5B Rover? Well here's a video i shot of my Coupe when the seats were installed.... not too sure which link will take you there, but one of them will
