Thanks David.
Very nice. I really like the old 2-strokes and V4s. The everyday motoring world is becoming very bland, isn't it. Or am I just getting old?
I just remembered that I have a road test (cover feature) on a Saab in a 1968(?) British magazine in my collection of old mags. I think it's a rallying mag. I'll find it and let you know which issue. If you don't have it I can send you a scan of the article if you like.

Thanks guys. The first few shots with the car park in the background were taken at Francorchamps, the F1 circuit and yes I did a few laps as passenger and cameraman, which was fantastic. Eau Rouge really is something else.

I just remembered that I have a road test (cover feature) on a Saab in a 1968(?) British magazine in my collection of old mags. I think it's a rallying mag. I'll find it and let you know which issue. If you don't have it I can send you a scan of the article if you like. Found it! But I was wrong. (It's happened before too) It's Motor Sport magazine. January 1969. There is a photo on the cover of a Saab rally car in flight, but there's no article. Just a photo review of the RAC Rally and another photo of the car with other rally cars. (Lancia, Mini, Escort, Cortina) I probably bought it because it has the results of the London to Sydney Marathon, an article on the Jensen Interceptor and FF(my dream car at that time), an article on the Rover BS mid-engined coupe, and an article on the Ginetta G15. It also has all the international race results for the previous year. Jim Clark won the Tasman series in his Lotus-Cosworth. I see Frank Gardner was driving a Brabham-Alfa Romeo V8 in that series. (I don't recall that car). Bruce McLaren won the F1 Race of Champions at Brands Hatch in his McLaren-Cosworth V8. Reading through the drivers' names certainly brings back the memories. Denny Hulme, Jacky Stewart, Chris Amon, Graham Hill, Dan Gurney, John Surtees, Jacky Ickx, Jack Brabham, Lucien Bianchi, Jim Clark, Niki Lauder, Parnelli-Jones (can't remember his first name), Mario Andretti. Ah, those were the days. Proper racing cars - not wingless aircraft. I am getting old - aren't I.
