Hi Neil I am no expert but have you any old reg doc's? if so are all the details correct for the Reg ie engine number, chassis nunber? I may be wrong but without proof of the Heritage I cant see how the club can help as no details can be verified I am sure you will get more input from members

Hi Neil First you need a V55/5 downloadable from the DVLA site. V55/5 - application for a first license for a motor vehicle and declaration for registration - for use by individuals to register used vehicles.... There is a list of items you need to take to your nearest DVLA office as evidence. (Original log book, MOTs, tax discs etc) along with photos of the car showing the original number plates. A heritage certificate helps. Once they have checked these they will issue you with either your original plate (assuming it hasn't been bought by someone else) or an age related plate. Best to try and do this at a local office rather than send to the DVLA Swansea as this takes much longer. If you need to get it stamped by the club you will need to send this to the club officer in a large SAE. See this page (right hand side) for more info. www.roverp5club.org.uk/other%20services.htmlThis service is FREE TO CLUB MEMBERS. £20 for non-members. Hope this helps

Completed V55/5 Photocopies of any documentation confirming age and details of the car - old MOTs, log book, service receipts, tax discs etc. Photographs showing the sides, front, back of the car including number plates. A cheque made payable to 'Rover P5 Club' for £20. FREE TO CLUB MEMBERS. A large SAE.
Normally it is checked and returned same day.
NOTE: Photocopies are not acceptable by the DVLA - you need to send them the originals.
