Try as might when searching I found everything except this info? Please tell me Rover discovered negative earth by the time P5's came on the scene?

Thanks Phil so they change over mid production? How odd must have cost them to do so?

Not really - the Mk3 had upgraded wiring/fusing ready for the P5B with its alternator etc - earlier Mk's had only 2 fuses!

Ah yes 2 fuses I remember those in my other classics! 10 in my aircooled VW normally ;-)

I intend to convert my MkII to Neg earth, which I believe is a case of jumping the dynamo in to postive output.
Has anyone done this? My reasons for the change is that I intend to tow a caravan (When I can find the correct towbar) and it will be easier to run the car Negative earth than change all the charging/fridge etc.

Do not forget you will need to change the wiring over on the coil, not sure about the clock and have you a wireless in your car?.

I had the coil in mind - didn't think about the clock! The radio is, I assume an original, so that will need looking at.
Thank you for the reminders. When I am nearer to completeing it I will post the results.

Common upgrade only the radio and rev counter is likely to cause any problem - old rev counters are no good anyway!
