Excellent idea and execution.
Is that on a 3 litre or B?

Nice job Steve I would be even more impressed if it was Stainless Don't worry John, the wife promised to give it a polish, now and then ( at least I think she was talking about the mirror) Trouble is I have to make the other side to match. It could be tricky.

It could be tricky. I wondered where you were going for a while The other side will be a doddle for you apart from that you cant really look at both sides at once

Nice work Steve!. I am curious to know how is tightened to the door? Regards Peter Things do get a bit close Peter but a 5mm bolt just passes all the crucial parts and secures thing nicely. This picture is of the nearside and you can see the bolt passes through the stainless, on the drivers side thing were a little different with the bolt passing underneath. Thanks to all that have expressed favourable comments. Steve

I took the car out for a drive to the coast today and the mirrors performed great with no wobbling or vibration and the vision is spot on.

What a brilliant job !
I bought a pair of the exact same mirrors & i've been scratching my head on the best way to fit them.
The mirrors will 'clip-on' but the problem lies with the N/S in that there isn't enough angle.
I would be interested in a pair if your thinking of going into production !!
As already said, stainless would be impressive to match the existing trim but hey, it's only a case of polishing more.
