One of my other interests is as an article writer for a car news concern.
This press release came down the lines to me today, which may interest some, here.
PRESS RELEASE
Bridge of Weir, Scotland, 9th September 2013 – Bridge of Weir, the UK’s only leather manufacturer for the automotive industry, celebrates the opening of the 65th International Auto Show, Frankfurt, this week, with the company supplying its largest ever selection of cars at the show.
Concept cars from Ford, Volvo and several others from around the world have chosen to use Bridge of Weir’s unique brand of Low Carbon Leather to grace their most advanced automotive interior designs.
Bridge of Weir Chairman, Jonathan Muirhead, said: “This is without doubt the most new concepts and production vehicles our leather has featured in at an international motor show. We are very proud that our leather is sufficiently renowned around the world for its quality, environmental record, natural characteristics and our customer service ethos to be specified by a truly world-leading selection of manufacturers.”
More details on the individual projects will be released after the Frankfurt Auto Show reveals of these new vehicles, including Bridge of Weir’s 30 year anniversary of working with Volvo with a series of three new concepts to be revealed by the Swedish auto maker over the coming months – all of which will feature the unique Low Carbon Leather from Scotland.

The baltic/locher works are only a few miles from my house and I have worked in the place a few times.
It is an interesting place but absolutely stinks, if you drop by be ready for it.

I've spent a lot of time in tanneries. It's funny how you eventually get used to the smell.
