The 2014 SARR will be held on May 24 / 25, the usual Spring Bank Holiday weekend. The location and format will be as per the very successful 2013 event, with a Saturday road tour and evening social event and a static car show at Lauriston Castle on the Sunday. Check out the SARR web site for full details. www.sarr.co.uk/If you missed the 2013 SARR, check out this YouTube video to see what you missed!

Hi Trevor,
Happy new year!
Has the entrance form not been loaded to the website yet or am I being blind?

The entry form for SARR 2014 will be available shortly, once final arrangements have been concluded. Forms will be emailed to those who participated in SARR 2011,2012. and 2013 and gave a valid email address on their entry form. If you have changed your email address since last entering a SARR, let the organisers know. Previous entrants without email contacts will have a form posted to them in February. As I am not involved in this year's SARR, please direct any queies regarding the event to Kim Payne at kim.j.payne@btinternet.com

Entry form sent - see you there Trevor. Accomodation also booked! For those looking to book be aware that there is a Marathon Event on in Edinburgh that weekend so book early and for a cheaper rate book a little further out from Edinburgh. We've booked at a Travelodge near Livingston which is a few miles out but cheaper and will take the pooch. We're driving up on Thursday, staying in a B&B in the Yorkshire Dales (Malham)and continuing on Friday, hoping to meet up with the usual crowd for food on Friday Night, the ususal Saturday run around the area and tyre kicking on Sunday. We may even do a few days of touring while up there and come back later in the week or even the following w/end. Cyf - remind me what it is you like about your P5- Oh yes. Driving it! Yes, its a long way but we've done it every year bar one for the last 10 years. It really is an event you can make a holiday out of. Never been to Scotland? Try it. And if you don't like the weather, just wait 20 minutes! If you want to meet up with us and stay over to break the journey then PM me and we'll be happy to convoy up with you via Yorkshire Dales and help with booking accomodation. You know you want to and it would be lovely to see you and Sivarene (Hope I got the spelling right?) again.

Yes SEVERINE ( ) and I want it Alan, and thank you for offering your help. The best will be to have days off before and after the WE to enjoy the journey, not to be only on motorways. We're thinking of bringing the kids with us and telling the school that it's a kind of advanced trining course in English, but it's not done yet!

Our friends Gary & Heidi are joining us this year and they speak fluent French, Flemish and Gary also speaks good German (I think). They have booked to travel with us in their sports car (Honda S2000) and Heidi loves children. Let me know when you have firmed up some dates and I'll help you work out a travel plan if you'd like me to. Hope you and SEVERINE and the children can make it

Regular drams of whisky tend to help sterilise any bugs that try and get you. Just keep taking the medicine!

Both England and Scotland are reasonably cyfilised even though they think they are not part of Europe!

You can bring your p6 cyf. Is it LHD?
Be sure and visit the sunny West Coast of Scotland if you make the trip.

Colin, we are hoping to do a bit of a trip with Jim, Fran, Cairns and Margaret and you and Natalie if you're up for it after the Rally.
We may drag Cyrille and Severine and their children along if they want to join us.
Alison will definitely want to incorporate Oban if we can. Her favourite place in the world!

OBAN?? The only tourist town that closes at peak meal times, seriously.
Inverary for the George is a good drive enroute from Oban. I could also host you at our climbing club in Glencoe, have you ever seen a bunk bed for 20 people? it is dog friendly though.

You misunderstood. I meant is there recommended vaccines to go through England , in order to reach Scotland You could always get a ferry straight into Scotland and avoid England altogether. I think there's a service from mainland europe into Rosyth. Midges are generally only a problem in the west and north of Scotland Dave
