Someone asked me where the bezels on the dash originated and said they had tried to purchase shiny ones they preferred the look of to fit into their car, and had not had any luck getting the correct size. As an alternative to chroming if you prefer, here's way to get the shiny look on the cheap. Collect old bezels as they are easily damaged use these to polish and change over with the originals when you are satisfied with your polishing results. The first thing is to bend the locating tags out of harms way as it's easy for these to get snagged. Begin by rubbing off the paint with an abrasive pad Then further rubbing with 1000 grade wet n dry Wrapped around a handy tool More rubbing 1500 More rubbing with 200 grade and then Farecla G3 rubbing compound More polishing with a mop, not forgetting Personal Safety Equipment To protect you from this debris Polish until you end up with something like this and protect with a good wax.
