here in S.Africa NO trim spares available, so anything in that line, windscreen/rear window trim, rubbers for windscreens/rear windows, quarterlight (smoking") windows. rear brackets housing number plate and reverse bulbs. Originals made of tin, and rust badly (even in Africa where little ever rusts!) struggling to find rear halfshaft bearings also. Headrests, rear. Been quoted £350 a pair. Scary.. am buying from roverpart etc, but at a premium. I hope my membersh here will assist me in getting things more reasonably priced. Read more: roverp5.proboards.com/post/new/8445#ixzz3Fb6XC8iRI am really surprised that you would not check out Jon Wadhams first as he would have most of the parts you want. Rear lamp chrome surrounds, headrests ( I just bought some for £100 a pair), bearings etc. I know that some of his parts get retailed on Ebay for about 3-4 time the price, as one of the forum members has just found out, I think it was orange repeater lenses he mentioned, but if you go direct then you would find that it would be cheaper. You would have to pay £65 to buy a rear spring Y-bush from E-bay, I got mine for £32 each from JRW. As for subframe bushes, all I would say (as a retired engineer) if you can already get them from Jon Wadhams why to go to all the trouble of making them, just think of all the tooling costs... But it might be just me - why invent the wheel when it's already been done?!

We have found Jon Wadhams to be great even though freight to New Zealand is expensive we bought Rear headrests for our p5b coupe and they are great just need a little velcro to stop them sliding around. But for rubber bits you cant go past Scots Old rubber in Melbourne Australia we did front and rear screens and next job is to do door rubbers he may be cheaper than Wadhams good luck

John, I know you are devoting time and effort to this so I thought in order to keep some enthusiasm in the thread maybe we can contribute a few quick wins!!!!!!!! Here is one for those in need of some rear heater hoses (V8). This hose ism available in Australia and costs about $9 from memory. Cutting it in half achieves two near perfect rear heater hoses at very minimal expense! The part will I suspect be manufactured and available here for many years to come as the car it is made for is still common;

Hi John, do you have rear shock absorber mounting bolts on your list? They don't appear to be available and sometime corrode the threads away. You don't realise until you need to change your rear shocks. ..even Namricks just down the road from me don't do them .. and I had to have a set custom made by a VERY talented engineer

Engine outlet pipe to heater unit hose. Rover Part No. 578079 The short 1/2" ID hook-shaped hose at the top end of the aluminium front/rear heater manifold that runs from the back of the inlet manifold to the heater inlet on the P5B. Never use clips, Phil. I run a 20% solution of PVA in the cooling system. Never leaks. Probably just as well, as you can't get the radiator cap off.
