Well done John. (Although it's hard to imagine her not passing). I still haven't heard back from the garage bloke about my (grovelling) rear spring suggestion, but on the other front the Pug is reportedly purring (okay; clattering) happily and is expected to be back on the road home tomorrow some time. Couldn't have done it without you (I do believe this is the first time I've ever used a smiley face on a forum - I must be coming over all emotional).

Well done - make sure you use it regularly now.
My Coupe failed on a advanced corrosion under the rear spring shackle. If I did not know the true condition of the whole rear chassis leg I would have taken issue but have decided to cut it all out from bumper mount to just past where it starts to curve upwards over the back axle. This will involve a new floor under the battery as well as chassis leg section and spring hanger but at least it should be good for another 30 years!
