Does anyone else have those? For those of you on facebook you might have joined the Classic Car Scrapyard finds page. Sometimes (amongst the bickering internet trolls) they put up ebay finds of classic cars and useful items.. Well for me one of those 'useful' items was a tilting car ramp stand.. like you see displaying cars outside a Landrover or 4x4 dealership with the car either facing up in the air or parked 2ft up in the air... 3500kg capacity, great for servicing the car under! Mine for less than £300 Attachments:seasaw.bmp (147.82 KB)

My friend Ian Headrick has one of these in his garage and he uses it every day for service & repair work. It can be a bit alarming when driving over the "tipping point" for the first time!

I picked up these ramps at the weekend, what nice bits of kit! Rated 3.5 tons, fully galvanised and from a Ford Dealership that was relocating. Apparently the other ones sold for twice as much so I actually think I got a bargain. Looking forward to having a garage to use them in! So come on, there must be someone else who has done the spontaneous (drunken is included) ebay buy of something car related?? Or are you too scared to admit it?!

Nothing to do with ebay, but one night in a fairly well sozzled state I bought a very rough Austin Healey Sprite. Come the morning,I could not remember where. I spent half the day driving round one of the big housing estates in Norwich until I found it,to be honest, seeing it again, sober,I wish I hadn't.

Bought my P5B saloon blind after a drunken bid on Ebay. Seemed like a good idea at the time. After much pain in the wallet department I have a bit more confidence in the car...

Not quite what you asked for Roy, but I bought my P5B after following up an expired eBay ad.

The most dangerous kind of trouble Warwick...! At the time she said she rather liked them. But then we discovered that she was thinking of the P6. She thought the P5 was a bit ancient-looking. And that is one of the reasons I like them.

And that is one of the reasons I like them. Warwick, whilst helping run the South East Rover Rally this year, my partner was trying to learn the different Rover types represented and I was explaining what they were whilst walking around the show field photographing the cars. I discovered she really likes P4s which was a nice surprise, sadly though if I had one it would need to have a few upgrades which might spoil its appeal... particularly in the engine dept! For the time being I'll stick to the P5b

You're right Roy, the P5B is the best kind of P4.
