I am about to take my 3 Litre Mk II coupe (old enlgish white, or near enough) wheels to be shot blasted and powder coated. Feelings about colour requested:
a) what would be authentic b) what would be presentable - realistically the choice is ivory or black.
What do I think? Well I cannot make up my mind so that is why I am posting here.

Black would be best, most of the wheel is covered by the ss hub cap in any case.
I am not sure powder coating is smart on wheels. I would think it would be damaged around the nuts and the corners where the hub cap sits, and touch up would be paint in any case. But I am only speculating here.

I would go with silver, but agree with Kaiser, not powder coated.

Mk2's on had black gloss - before that body colour as they had the small hub-caps
