Andy
Pathfinder models are probably the most expensive Rover model you will find - though not the most exclusive.
That mantle will be worn by the 1:43 scale model of a 3.5 coupe to be launched by The Rover P5 Club. This model is available in a selection of four colours, and is produced only for the club. It will be available in the summer, to members ONLY. Look out for information in forthcoming issues of Take Five,

Looking at the pictures of the model, 1) Door windows frames / front and rear screen finishers are not correct, should at least be silver painted. 2) Wiper /scuttle panel should at least be painted silver. 3) Wheels could be better detailed. 4) Coach lines on roof and body appear to be missing (at least I can't see them!)
Not for me at this sort of money I'm affraid.

Allan There are P5 saloon models by Vanguard and possibly Corgi, maybe not P5B but close. Coupe models at an affordable price are rare, Pathfinders model is available but I wont pay that price for a model. I look forward to seeing the club models soon. Cheers Adie

I have seen the Vanguard but I really want a B with the correct wheels. And ideally in Admiralty blue with buckskin interior

Does anyone know about a p5b coupe 1:43 scale model made by a company called Conquest - I am interested to know if they are still available as it carries my Rovers number plate.

Conquest is in effect a brand name of SMTS, and is still a going concern. The P5B Coupe model is not currently listed on their web site, www.smtsmodels.co.uk. I bought one in silver birch over burnt grey via Ebay last year, it carries the plate KWC 8J, and is a fine model indeed. Well worth the £120.00 plus price tag! There is a P5B coupe made by Milestone (Gems & Cobwebs), somewhat cheaper at around £70.00, but the colours are way off and the body shape is somewhat flat. Lansdowne do a P5B saloon which is a good buy at around £40.00. Full marks to the club for going the Coupé route, with all the Vanguard colour variants the saloon is well enough covered already. (But then I may be biased!)

Anyone got a picture of a Club P5 model to show me ? I am lucky enough to have some Pathfinder models of which I am very fond. Cheers Colin
