Oo, oo, John, John!! Don't throw away that biggish washer. The one next to the little spring washer, just down from the top a bit and slightly to the left. Mine isn't in as good condition. Could you send it to me please?

Some thing is very strange. I've just spent the best part of a week (off & on) replacing the n/s/f lower link arm with a new ball joint in it. I also replaced a couple of bushes and the front shock absorbers. When I reversed out of the garage to see how the old girl would respond to these super-human endeavours, there was a pile of nuts & bolts left on the floor similar to those in the picture. Should I be driving the car? Should I carry out any more maintenance by myself?! FOR SALE: 1970 P5B Saloon, 4.0 litre V8, four-speed ZF auto 'box, 245,000 miles, 11 mnths. MoT and lightened (involuntarily) by 120lbs. Offers................

You mean that's rust! I thought you'd powder-coated them. Better forget about then; thanks anyway.
