Having had my car mothballed for a few months, I decided it was time to MOT and insure it again. Sent it to the garage in my village, and it passed the MOT without any problems. But .... that would be too simple! On the way home, only a few hundred yards, there was a sickening thunk and the bottom radiator hose split, discharging coolant on the road just outside my house, and on my drive. No problem, thought I - jack the car up and change the hose. When I put the jack under the jacking point - the jacking point broke off! Arrrggghhh!! seven hundred quid bill fof inner sill, spacer, outer sill, gue them all up, plus a new wheel arch section in from of the A post. How very arrgivating!

That's a tail of woe bad luck but if you own a classic things like yours could happen the jacking points are fine on my car but I still wouldn't use them neither would a load of other members so a lesson learned I should buy your MOT guy a pair of glasses if the jacking points were that bad

I agree entirely about the jacking points. Never ever use them but use a trolley jack instead for safety. ( and not under the jacking points). Well at least you have got a ticket for another twelve months. Murphys Law always prevails.
