Why not just get yours rebuilt with a new higher efficiency core? Regards Freddy

I agree.
I have had SERUK rebuild a couple of radiators for me. never had an uprated one only standard though.

It will vary from company to company, also the size of the core.
I think my P6 4cyl was £120 but the V8 landrover was £160 approx.
They will need to measure it.

Hi I had my rad recored.
It was blocked inside all furred up. So it was not cooling properly and had
cold spots in the middle and around the top the tanks were fine.
I tried to flush it out but no joy
Where is your rad leaking?
If it's from a join or a side tank this can be braized.
I had mine recored by a firm called HRM on South Street, Glasgow by a guy
called Kenny. He does all the rads for my uncle a dealer and had old cores
from various Robbie Coltrane cars
The price was £120
which I thought was good he knew it was a V8 straight away
cheers Chaz

Use search set for suitable long period as I have made comments about this many times before - beware Sercks mine was rebulit 10 years ago and it failing now totally after many problems with it coming apart in the intervening years
