He epitomised SAAB and will be greatly missed by all who had the good fortune to meet him. I will remember greeting him with ' a pleasure to meet you sir' only to be told 'I am not a sir, I am Eric'. The end of an era. Worth the read www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/119192

Great guy and a real shame about Saab.
I love my 95 aero so much I've kept it going even though I was due to change it this year.

Good on you Barry. A Dame Edna 9.5?
SAABs are like fine wine, they improve with age.

Sure is! - they were slated for that look but actually I think it was ahead of the curve. The chrome strips so ridiculed nowadays replaced by these terrible led strips stuck on everything now!

... these terrible led strips stuck on everything now! Why is it that although it was BMW and Audi who introduced LED headlight eyebrows, they just say to me, cheap and tasteless, regardless of what they're fitted to. To my eye they're only a few steps removed from spinning wheel covers with lights on them. Is it just me? Am I getting old and fuddy duddy? (My son would say, yes - though not that he likes wheel spinners)

Looks better on lighter cars I think. Just in case a few people were wondering 'Why Dame Edna...' A little touch of Antipidean for Warwick and Co.
