Any of you chaps own more than one? I've just discovered that I own two!
The P5B advert in my 1969 Melbourne Motor Show catalogue hails the model as "The last bastion of British craftsmanship".
But now the December issue of Wheels magazine (Aust.) proclaims that my dear old Peugeot 505 was "The last bastion of French ride quality".

I'm surprised there's any 505's left these days to comment on knowing what they were like for rust and reliability. ;D ;D

On my trip up to Lincolnshire this weekend i saw a Bronze 505,looked in good condition, also saw loads of tractors.
Unlike caravans they do turn off the main road frequently. Didn't see one classic car. Big Kev.

Input is always welcome, and kettle is always on. If you've got time pop in when you pass.

Last bastions, Phil. (Just an excuse to get some traffic on the forum really. It's been a bit quiet and I don't really have any Rover questions at the moment, although that should change in the next few weeks when I get to work on the car again). Lots of 505s down here, but then rust isn't such a problem - you see it requires water to fall from the sky and wet things.

Well its 3 currently plus 3 others long gone. One of which is now back on the road - MDU 817F if anyone is looking (again!) The one in the picture.
Its strange how former cars just disappear!
