I was cleaning the four instrument 'pods' on my coupe, when I discovered a push button switch between the water temp & and fuel gauges, underneath the 'pods'. It is a similar design to the head restraint light switch, but smaller. I can't find any mention of it in the handbook, although I'm sure it's purpose is well known to longer term coupe owners. I'm still trying to adjust, having had a saloon for 6 years!
It's not connected to anything, and although there isn't one on the other 'pod', there is a small hole were one might have been.
Any elightenment would be gratefully received.

This is the optional extra fog/spot switch position, one of two from the old 3 Litre days most of the wiring was already in the loom so only a small "kit" was needed to connect up the smart Lucas chrome SFT5 fog lamps
Obviously a PO has fitted it for something. its best to follow up any wiring left to make sure it has been safely disconnected. As two lights were possible 2 switch positions were given.
Saloons have them directly underneath the cosnole although on manual cars one column operated swith was available as well.

Thanks, Phil, you learn something new every day.
I didn't know about the switch on the saloons, either. Must remember to look next time.
