Hi there;
My name is Johnathon, I am an asistant manager with Auto Value Auto Parts in Alberta. I have a Red Seal Journeyman certificate in the Parts industry. I seem to have met my match when it comes to cars. I have just recently been re aquainted with a family member. He has a 1965 3 Liter MarkII. I have been asked to help repair this car, and I am a tad taken aback with the wiring in this car. Why anyone would make this car with all bullet connectors is beyond me. I am all for restoration of a classic / antique, but I'll be honest I want to rewire this whole car with GM Weatherpac connectors and convert it to Negative ground. (this is absolutley the last resort). I do have some questions about the wiring and the Indicator stalk. Most of the wires have the fabric still on them is this easy to remove to see the wire colors. I need to hook up the turn switch. Also the indicator lever has a too and fro function is this to flash the high beam headlights? When is this part of the switch intended to have continuity? Pulled or at rest? Does anyone have a great wiring diagram for this car? I have one from the owners manual, and I have the parts book for this car. I can not seem to make real sense of the diagrams. Does anyone have the complete list of what the diagrams have for items in the circuit? I know what the light bulb looks like on paper and I also know what the battery looks like on paper.
