after my point job i'm no expert and would not attempt change the polarity over or fitting a electronic ignition /alternator etc, the one i was looking at was a replacement dizzy but the sellers powerspark never even answered my email about them. also my mate who was a rover mechanic said if i wanted to change to a alternator then that looks like a dynamo i would need a dynalite raco23 model then it would mount the power steering pump. as for the clock it does'nt work and needs changing the radio is a motor roller model that looks like a original and only has two stations that are still on medium wave, that needs updating to a modern radio that looks retro. so i can have a bit of heavy metal [ i dont think so lol] so these are two things that need doing along with some seams on the front bench seat that re stitching and a bit of a colour restoration i am lucky with this there is a leather car seat restorer about 3 miles from me.

but all that is the charm and excitement of an old car - there is also so much you can actually fix yourself now so you are an expert eg points As I have said our P2/P4 and P5 retain the dynamo and +ve earth with the period radios except the P2 - No bothers - I have a special socket in them for the SatNav though

SATNAV!! I'm extremely disappointed Phil. I took you for a map and compass man.

I was and still do use maps and even collect old maps but its ideal for our busy towns/cities where there often is not time to look around for the correct lane and one-way street. The speed and time elapsed facility is also very useful
