Hello
My oil gauge has stopped working and my mechanic checked the gauge but says I need a replacement electric oil pressure switch.
Any guidance on which is best one to get? An old used one from a P5B? Or are there any newer ones members would recommend for the job?
Likewise a manual fuel pump. I've had problems with several electric fuel pumps (either working intermittently or just too noisy) and my mechanic suggests going back to a manual fuel pump. Are there any new ones that would be suitable (i.e. those used in Range Rovers with similar engine to a P5B) or is it just a case of searching for an old one from a P5B.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Many thanks for your reply. I have followed your sage advice, bitten the bullet and bought a NOS AC Delco on EBay. I've grown sick of breaking down with unreliable electric fuel pumps and, although the current one is reliable, it's as if I'm sharing the cabin with a machine gun operator. The rat-tat-tat-tat everytime I go for a drive has started getting me down. Rover'ing should be a relaxing experience so let's hope this NOS mechanical pump proves reliable as well as peaceful.
