I had a problem with my driver door button. all it needed was a spray of wd40. the hardest part was finding those screws that keep the woodwork on. they were under a line of padding under the sill that actually comes off.

Hello and welcome to the forum By the sill you mean the door capping and removing the door cards makes it easier, I would have given it a good dose of white grease spray WD40 will eventually dry up.

John,
Thanks for the reply. My car is 1962 Mk 1, 3 litre coupe. I don't know what the two spare levers are for on the steering column. We have the auto shifter, the indicator and two other levers. Also, what is the foot switch on the floor that looks like a second accelerator?
Tony.

The foot pedal is the dipswitch . One of the two levers on the column will select headlamps on or off with the light switch on the binnacle in the on position - that operates only the sidelights . The other is probably the intermediate speed hold for the BW DG box

Right col switch is Side/head Left is 1st gear start/delayed upshift on autos or manuals for front fogs. Early autos had a pull T cable under the parcel shelf
