Very nice John, although I don't think the rear spoiler is in keeping with the style of these cars.

Freedom. It's always good to see the "Old Girl" out. Having said that she is the fittest Old Girl I have ever seen.

First the car has seen the light of day for several months. Replaced the fuel hose which had went brittle to the point where it snapped in my hand and the made in britain kevlar hoses that split for silcone ones.

Colin, what make of lift is that? Cheers

lift was supplied by BH repairs. It weighs over 400kg but been a very welcome edition to my tool collection.
I will go up to over 5' and had extensions for the pads to give an extra 6" or so.
This is the first the P5 has had a go but one of the jobs I bought it for was to repalce the subframe. I might take it out side the garage lift the body and drag the subframe into the garage to do the change over but thats another story.

Thanks, actually..they are whitewalls! I turned them around and the kids painted the whitewalls with tyre black.

Unlike the P5B with rostyle wheels, I would say that white wall tires look better on the P5 3-litre than plain blackwalls. Here's a picture of mine. The fuzzy dice do perhaps detract a bit from the seriousness of the picture and car.

Those tyres fill the arches very well.
What are the brand/size?
Obviously Ro-Style wheels dont suffer the same rust issues we do in the UK.

I was very lucky, the previous owner had the Rostyles refurbished. Tyres are Maxxis - 225/75/15 Rear - 205/75/15 Front White sidewall turned to the inside of the rim and painted out with Tyre Black.

I am still trying to work out how to reduce my pictures in my albums in order that I can post on here. But I do now own the saloon which is shown on this forum header picture on the left hand side with Bjorn stood next to it.
Regards,

I've been using it for years, and it's free. www.faststone.org/I'm puzzled by your comment about the forum header. It's been a single Silver Birch Coupe with no people in the photo, for quite awhile. Do some people still see the previous header with a number of cars and people?

Yes, that got me a bit confused as well Warwick. The header is a single P5B coupe, at sunset. Brendan, if you press F5 on your keyboard, the picture should 'refresh'?

I still see the header with multiple cars and people (at Brooklands?) - same one since I joined several years ago. I get the same image if I clear my browser or use a different browser.

It didn't really click with me as I knew exactly which car Brendan was referring to as I could still see the multiple cars forum header. Then I realised I'd also seen the sunset coupe photo.
It transpires that I see the multiple-car photo when viewing as a guest (and still do as of now) but the sunset picture when logged-on to the forum. No idea why. As I view on a tablet, I don't appear to have an F5 key.

Well this has got me well and truly stumped! I checked just to make sure and the banner should be the single P5B Coupe at sunset. Oh well, as long as the forum posts work, then I am happy to 'stay calm and carry on'.

Website header is Brooklands 50th anniversary of the P5 14th September 2008 - the reason my green Mk1 brings up the rear was because I didn't want to break down at the front and hold up the procession! www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePv9S6Takto

I'm a bit confused is the banner for the forum right or wrong every time I log on I see a line of P5s inc Brendans car but apparently it should be a single Coupe at sunset. Maybe it's time for another new one

If I press F5 on my laptop all that happens is my keyboard lights up for dark time usage.
I always get the Brooklands line up. I just wish as with other forums I belong to and clubs I subscribe to that it would be simple to upload pictures without the need for all this re-sizing malarki.
Surely our club subs cover the costs of running the forum to full capacity or is it a separate entity.??
Regards,
