Hi Warwick, you are on a mission. I thought I should sign up and add a few cars to your list. They are all in NZ, are all P5B Coupes and chassis no.s are as follows:# 84600315D Silver Birch original 84600076B Bordaux Red being restored 84600471D Admiralty Blue, original plus 1 imported home market car that needs restoring, Burnt Grey
I know of 24 P5B Coupes in NZ but don't know how many are registered on this web site
Cheers Miles

Happy New Year Warwick as well,
Chassis no. 84600471D is owned by my Dad. The rest I have purchased over the years. When I get organised, they will be shipped over to Melbourne. Chassis no. 84600076B is ex NSW and I will be following up on your contacts later to try and trace the history.
I't was too hot yesterday. 40 Degrees!!!

Yes, far too hot. Much nicer today.
It's a shame that your NSW car isn't on Andrew's spreadsheet. I've added your cars to the Australian tally because the thread is mainly intended to help others see where other owners are.

Hi Warwick, After a few years of this thread, how many P5s are there in the US and Canada? My memory says about 5 in the US and not sure about Canada.
Thanks!
David

Have you posted in this thread David? I can't remember and there are too many pages to search back through.

Sure have, 3 years ago. I thought you might have done a spread sheet or something like that to show what was in each country reported. I was just curious.

I wasn't intending to determine how many cars were in each country David. Rather I was trying to determine how many forum users (and their cars) resided outside the UK, and from that allow people to see who else came from the same region.
It sort of worked and didn't work. The thread has run to many more pages than I expected, which is good, but many of the "foreigners" who introduced themselves here have just been passing through.

They may have passed through but there will forever be a way to relate to others in the same region which is a definite plus. Thanks!

I've no idea Dean. Others here will have a fairly good idea I would expect.

Here in Christchurch, New Zealand, I have two P5B saloons. A Bordeaux Red 1970 (running) and a Silver (originally Silver Birch) 1973 (not running but too good to be a donor car).

Thanks Stephen,
I've added yours and also added links to the profile pages. I should have thought of that earlier. However, reading back through all the previous posts, I've noticed that a lot of people haven't been back to the forum for a long time so it's not as useful as it could be.
I hope life is settling down again in Christchurch; or at least as much as it can under the circumstances. The anniversary must have brought back some terrible memories for an awful lot of people. (Those butterflies were a nice idea).

Thanks Warwick, it seems a bit more settled seismically now but we've been fooled so many times before that we're ready for anything. Daily life is still very disrupted, with traffic jams and invasive investigation of even apparently sound buildings to prove their safety to insurers. Those butterflies were orange & black Monarchs, as close as they could get to red & black Canterbury colours.
