Looks fab however I have noticed some dust on the right (radiator mount?) tut tut - CYF would not have dust on his mounting! ;o) You mean the Slam Panel mount Stan got me a bit worried there! I have just repainted them and should be dust free

No splash panels Stan or Elephant traps Alan The engine compartment has stayed fairly clean but to be fair I don't drive the car on wet roads! it can rain as long as the roads dry up or near enough that's fine, if you get caught out like a few times this year well that's the UK summer the idea of all the work Stan is easy maintenance, all bolts in the suspension etc will be SS I will have to make the longer bolts no one does 7/16" UNF at lengths like 6 3/4" Back to the Garage

Good luck with it - wish I had the time to do that sort of thing these days - or even a P5 on my drive!! Off to view another house this weekend (tandem garage this time) and plenty of drive space!

It depresses me.
I have spent all evening in the garage with many more ahead of me and I know my car will never be a patch on yours because I don't have the time but mostly the skills to bring mine to the standard of yours John.
I really admire your ability, patience and dedication.
I console myself with the fact that if mine was as good as yours I wouldn't drive it.

The usual quality work, John. Your car is much better than new by a long way, I should think!

Same question as Norvin, John I painted it in Enamel when I first did the restoration and it stood up to it for 5 years and to be honest probably another 5 years but I am a fussy old "B" and doing the heads has instigated all the work I cant put stuff back that isn't right. So Norvin and Cyf all the intake side has been powder coated this time as it is a static item and will stand up well to oil and petrol, I personally would not powder coat anywhere else!

John do you use the thread lubricant on the cylinder head bolts,? if so where do you buy it from. I was advise this and advised that so I went back to old school and used clean engine oil and they all Torqued up fine just remember to put some oil under the bolt head and washer, I got new OEM bolts and was surprised on some how badly finished the shoulders were so I put them all in the lathe and trued them
