Finally I have my Manifold back I found a great enthusiastic guy in Norfolk this after the other "B" lot ruined the job for the 4th time! lucky David Cole had the correct year manifold stamped 1969 I did get one from David Green but it was slightly later. The finish is perfect "not Polyester" done in Acrylic Lacquer totally solvent resistant So I can start putting the inlet side back together the Exhaust Manifolds will be with me on Monday so I hope by the end of the week to hear The Old Girl burble again The little 10 X UNC were "B's" to make that's the ones on the Blanking Plate both pipes on the Bridge are also SS as are the Spigots for the Air Filter. I made new Bronze Bushes for the Carb Linkage so it should all last a while

Looks fab!,
Did you mask off the covers for coating or sand through the coating on the fins and rover part?
It's going to look brilliant all back together.

I cut through the PC Barry an it honestly took the best part of the day I thought 400 then 600 wet and dry but the lacquer was so good/hard it was very difficult to cut through! I didn't want to use anything heavy or mechanical means as I had polished it up before the PC was applied. The Lacquer is a one I will get involved with again on another project

John one photo of your engine shows the servo unit black and later gold, the gold one is on on my car, so have you a new servo and is the gold the correct colour.

I did it black years ago norvin but didn't like it and no it isn't gold after a bit of research it was Cadmium plated as I didn't like the Passivated Zinc looked too modern, so I had it Coloured Zinc Coated as near to Cadmium as possible as the Cad process was banned

Looking great!
Is this the new ceramic type coating that reduces under bonnet heat? It should last forever if so!

The coating is known as 'jet hot' in OZ and is very resonably priced. It's a great thermal barrier...unlike chrome...can be polished and can be applied to used headers ,etc after appropriate cleaning. It also increases component life considerably. I've used it for several motor cycle exhausts. It can also be used for many engine components subject to heat, erosion and contamination.
