Looking good. Did you have to change/modify the exhaust manifold because of the "new" steering shaft? Keep up the good work! Peter Not had the engine back in yet Peter but if my measurements are right then it should clear fine.

Looks really professional Wozza...very neat installation. I'm sure the ride will also be much improved.
As an aside...what is the viable suspension travel at 'normal' ride height...and is a bump stop required at maximum drop or compression. (Just wondering whether there could be any internal contact of the air bag components during maximum drop or compression under arduous driving situations, for example...traversing a large pot hole, rutted road surfaces, etc.)

The air bags have an internal bump stop the same as a standard coilover shock .. Woz

Finally got to get the engine back in tempory for the first time in ages so I could check clearances around the new steering shaft for starter motor and exhaust headers. This pic shows just how much clearance there is. I have also marked the sump where it fouls the steering rack which is minimal but does need clearancing. The engine is now back out and starting to be stripped to check for wear and to get ready for painting. Woz

Just a quick update to show that I've not been idle. Engine is painted and installed, I am now taking a few bits off of the engine for detailing and repainting, it won't be as original but clean and functional.

Coming along nicely when do you think it will be on the road?

Coming along nicely when do you think it will be on the road? Was hoping to have the outlaw coupe out this summer but this maybe wishful thinking. I've got most of the engine back together just waiting for the carb rebuild kits so I can test the motor. As I've said before the engine is not original but will be functional. Woz

Front end all finally fitted on the outlaw coupe, new braided brake lines are in and connected. Rear floors are now fully coated and the new brake lines and petrol lines are being fitted. Need to machine up the lower 4 bar spacers and then I can call the rear end done. W.

Its going to be a shame to hide that gorgeous brake set up behind the new wheels! I'd definitely have to have a set of 5 spokes to show them off

Made up the final part of the four bar rear, new spacers and bush insert to match the forward rear spring hanger. Cleaned up the fuel tank inside and out, cleaned the pre filter and blew through the fuel lines ready for fluids. W.

A little bit of bling for the engine bay of the outlaw coupe to replace the original cast ones that had damaged flanges. Obviously these are not a performance upgrade but pretty much a replacement with a bit more kerb appeal. W

A nice bit of bling Wozza...stainless steel? The only down side given the configuration is that your engine bay may sound like a MK2 Zephyr...if you recall the sound of the exhaust pulses and the reason for it.

Yeah stainless Vince, be interesting to hear what they sound like, they're fitted now and I'm getting ready to fire the old girl up so it won't be long and I'll Know what sound they make.

Rad and new hoses installed. I've got to replace a couple of old hoses that I've installed that I forgot to get initially but I can do them whenever. Need some new breather hoses as well but all in all works great. Onto new exhaust system now.
